FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Everything people ask before they start. If your question is not here, call 727-644-0160 and ask it.
Is this legal?
Our systems and documentation have been vetted by a licensed labor law attorney and a certified public accountant, so the process holds up to scrutiny. We document real work that you really perform. We never create, backdate or manufacture experience.
How long does the whole process take?
Onboarding takes a couple of days. After that it depends on the license you are going for and the experience you already hold. Florida's standard requirement is three years of verified experience, and every situation is different. The roadmap tells you where you stand before you commit to anything.
Do I have to quit my job during this process?
No. The whole program is designed for working professionals. We handle the documentation and the paperwork while you keep earning, and you can log in to the employee portal from anywhere.
I am a veteran. Does that help?
Yes. Veterans can sit the state licensing exam sooner.

- General Contractor
- Plumbing Contractor
- HVAC and Air Conditioning Contractor
- Roofing Contractor
- Electrical Contractor
How many years of experience need to be verified?
It depends on the license type, and we often find qualifying experience people did not realize counted. You get an honest assessment either way, and if you are short we can add you to the roster to build the rest.
Do I need to go back to school?
No. Florida lets you qualify on real world construction experience. With four or more years of verifiable experience you can qualify through the experience pathway, with no degree and no trade school. You can still enrol in a course to help you pass the state exam if you want one.
I have a bachelor's degree. Does that shorten the track?
It can. A bachelor's degree in business may reduce the total years required, and we do not make you repeat what you have already proven. We assess your education alongside your field experience and recommend the shortest honest path. Ask us and we will tell you what your degree is worth here.
Can I obtain multiple trade licenses at the same time?
No. Licensing rules permit testing for and obtaining one trade license within the designated period.
What should I know about being my own license holder?
As your own license holder you follow the licensing rules and state requirements, renew on time and keep your records. You get independence, and the responsibility that comes with it. We advise on good business practice, ethics and professional growth.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?
Cost depends on the license type and where you are starting from, so we quote it case by case with no hidden fees. You can pay monthly, or pay for the full year up front and save ten percent. Ask for a roadmap and the number comes with it.
What kind of projects will I get visibility to?
Commercial, residential, private and public work, from small repairs through demolition and new build. The range is the point: it is what makes the experience worth documenting.
I hold a trade license in another field. Can I add another?
Yes. We help licensed contractors add credentials, map the requirements for the next licence and build the plan to get there.
Are there tests during the program?
There are no internal tests. Passing the state licensing exam is mandatory for certification, and the program gives you guidance, support and practical experience to prepare for it.
Do you provide books or study materials?
No. It is real jobsites and direct guidance, not a syllabus. Take notes and ask questions, and you will get far more out of it than a textbook would give you.
